Full-Service Containers — A New Way to Move from IVL

Full-Service Containers — A New Way to Move from IVL

Day-Certain Service With a full-service container, you decide when the shipment will be loaded and when you want it to arrive. Specific loading and unloading dates give your transferee the opportunity to accurately plan the details of the move, like lodging, transportation and meals. Convenient Storage without the Added Fees With a full-service container move, IVL can easily place the shipment in storage, without incurring added costs* or double handling. Less handling means less opportunity for loss or damage. Safe and Secure With exclusive use of the container, your transferee will have peace of mind knowing that their container is loaded and sealed with only their belongings, unlike traditional moving services in which three to four shipments are often transported in a single van. Whether the belongings go directly to the destination or into storage, the container will never be opened or its contents handled until it reaches its final destination. White Glove Services A full-service container move includes full loading and unloading services and full-value shipment protection of $10,000 per container at no additional charge. IVL also offers a full range of additional services including packing materials, packing assistance, maid service, home theater and PC set-up, and identity theft protection. There’s moving. And there’s moving IVL....

Tax Deductible moving expenses

You may, under certain circumstances, deduct some moving expenses on your federal income tax return if you complete the appropriate forms. Though IVL cannot give you tax advice, we have prepared a summary of some of the issues you should consider about the tax implications of your move. Because laws change frequently, you should always consult the Internal Revenue Service or your personal tax advisor for the most current information about your particular situation. Non-Deductible Expenses Some moving-related expenses are not deductible and are identified as such by the IRS. Non-deductible moving expenses include the following: Meals while moving from the old home to the new one Pre-move house hunting trips Temporary housing prior to moving into permanent housing Costs of selling, buying or leasing homes as a result of a move Deposits lost due to damage or neglected cleaning Deposits required when entering a new lease Home improvements Licenses for drivers and automobiles Lost club membership dues Loss on the sale of your home Mortgage penalties Real-estate taxes (Instead of a moving expense, these taxes would be listed as an itemized deduction on Schedule A.) Refitted carpets and draperies You can depend on your IVL agent for knowledge and expertise in helping you prepare for your move. The agent will be happy to assist you by answering questions and working closely with you to make your relocation as effortless as possible. Full-Value Protection

Full-Value Protection

Protecting your personal belongings during your move is as important to you as it is to us. That’s why IVL offers a plan to protect you if the unexpected happens to your personal items during your move. It is easy to understand, and it’s included upfront with every IVL move. Here’s how it works: The default amount of full-value protection is automatically included with your move using the estimated weight of your total shipment. The protection amount is calculated at a rate of $6 per pound multiplied by the estimated weight of your total shipment. For example, IVL will offer $60,000 in shipment protection for a 10,000 pound shipment. During your move: If we cause damage or loss to any of your personal belongings they will be either repaired or replaced up to the total amount of the shipment protection that you select. High Value Inventory Included with Full-Value Protection is the High Value Inventory Form. This form must be used to list any items valued greater than $100 per pound. It’s important that each item being moved is carefully considered by you with this in mind. So if an item has a value beyond $100 per pound, be sure to list the item on the High Value Inventory Form. As you can see, your use of the High Value Inventory Form assures you the full benefit of your Full-Value Protection for your valuable items. At IVL, we understand that moving can be a stressful time, let Full-Value Protection help ease your...
