MOVING DURING WINTER TIME (OFF-SEASON)

If you’re planning a move during the winter time, you will be able to reserve a moving date quite quickly. Winter time is offseason for movers which means their loads are light and looking for business. You will also be able to save some money as opposed to moving during the summer time. So how much advance notice do movers need? I would suggest a 4-week minimum notice would suffice. MOVING DURING SUMMER (PEAK-SEASON)

Relocating during the busy season would require more advance notice then during the winter time. Peak season for moving offically starts on May 15th and lasts until September. The summertime makes up for 75% of moves annually so things can get a bit hectic for both the mover and the customer. With that said I would recommend booking your move a min of 8 weeks in advance. I would definitely recommend IVL to anyone moving in the country or out of the country because they are reliable, courteous and very professional!! They arrived at my home 20 mins. early and helped me get my belongings packed and ready to move. They also helped move my vehicles with no hesitation!! International Van Lines was very accommodating for my recent move. After googling Moving companies, International Van Lines came up in the search, and I thought I would give them a try.

I had a 3 bedroom home to move from Staten Island, New York to Marietta, Georgia, including Living Room set, Refrigerator and stove. The guys were very professional in their move of the 3 Bedroom, Living Room, and Kitchen sets! They had all of the moving equipment, Dollies, hand trucks, boxes, tape, etc.

My items arrived in Marietta, Georgia without any damage!

What a surprisingly great experience, I recently used International Van Lines for my move and I cant say enough about how happy we are with the whole thing.

Everyone, all the staff were incredibly courteous and kind. They gave some of the best customer service I have ever had, they went above and beyond.
