Dry Containers
20′ and 40′ dry containers are manufactured from either aluminum or steel. They’re reliable for most types of cargo and are the standard for international moving. If you’re planning on shipping a household than an FCL (Full container load) will be your best option. Below you will find container load sizes, however, if you have any questions about the capacity or the size container you will require, please contact a relocation coordinate.
If you’re planning on moving a vehicle and household goods, we will most likely recommend a 40′ dry container which is typical. We load the container at your door, or you can choose a live load option which is when the shipper (you) would load themselves. Please note, if you decide to self-pack your insurance options will be limited. You can go over the details with one of our reps and we will make recommendations on how to ensure your goods arrive at the destination safely. IVL is licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission as a freight forwarder.
