Local Moving
If you’re planning a move to a new residence within your state, this would be considered a local move. IVL would send a smaller 26ft box truck or two if needed. One of the worst experiences with a mover. We were moving cross country. After spending 60 minutes on a quote, moving day came and the wheels started falling off the bus. First, IVL contracted our job to “Yellow Eagle” (look at their ratings). Quote turned out to be off by thousands of dollars. Fast forward to delivery date. The company showed up weeks earlier than we were ready for the full load (it was supposed to be split into two loads – one temporary, one permanent). Now it was no longer Yellow Eagle…it was another third transportation company. They charged us an extra $2,000 to hold our belongings until our home was ready. All the while, we tried to correspond with customer service at IVL. Horrible responsiveness. Horrible detail. And, many items broken to boot. Good luck….

These guys are fantastic!! I have hired other moving companies, but International Van Lines is the best! I have a very cumbersome sofa, and moving into apartments is not easy, but they knew how to maneuver everything so nothing would get damaged. They are also so kind and personable. Highly recommend!!
